Renovation & Remodel Electrical in the Seattle Area
Rough-in, low-voltage, and finish electrical for whole-home and partial renovations.
A renovation is the moment to get your home's wiring right — not just for today's layout, but for the way you'll actually live in the space for the next twenty years. All City Electric has been wiring Puget Sound renovations since 1971, from kitchen and bath updates to full gut remodels. We coordinate with your general contractor, plumber, and HVAC trades so rough-in, low-voltage, and finish work land on schedule and on code.
Older Seattle-area homes often hide knob-and-tube wiring, ungrounded circuits, or panels that can't carry a modern load. While the walls are open we identify those issues and fix them when it's cheapest — instead of after the drywall goes back up. Every circuit we install is grounded and AFCI/GFCI protected where required, and sized for the appliances and lighting you actually plan to use.
You'll get a clear scope and upfront pricing before we start, and a walk-through at trim-out so every switch, outlet, and fixture does exactly what you expect. Whether it's a single bathroom or a full gut, we treat your home like it's our own.

Renovations — Your Questions Answered
When during a renovation should the electrician be brought in?
Ideally at the design stage, before framing. Early involvement lets us plan circuit routes, panel capacity, and low-voltage locations with the walls open — keeping the job cleaner, faster, and less expensive than retrofitting decisions later.
Do you pull permits for renovation electrical work?
Yes. We pull the required electrical permit through the local jurisdiction (for example Seattle SDCI or your city's building department), schedule rough and final inspections, and make sure the work passes before wall finishes go up.
Can you add outlets, switches, and lighting during a renovation?
Yes — we place receptacles, switches, and fixtures based on how you'll actually use each room, not just the minimum code count, and we run new grounded, AFCI/GFCI-protected circuits back to the panel for them.
Will you coordinate with my general contractor and other trades?
We do. We schedule rough-in and trim around your GC, plumber, and HVAC trades so the electrical lands on schedule and the inspections pass the first time.
Can you upgrade the panel as part of a renovation?
Often yes. If your renovation adds a heat pump, induction range, or EV charger, we'll assess the panel and upgrade it or add a subpanel so the new loads have real capacity behind them.
Can you add smart-home and low-voltage wiring during a renovation?
Yes. While the walls are open we can pull Cat6, speaker wire, and structured low-voltage runs for smart-home, security, and whole-home audio so you're not fishing cable later.

"I had an incredible experience getting service done from All City Electric. I wanted to have some outlets fixed as well as install a Level 2 Charger. They were easy to schedule a time for an estimate and also for the service. The electrician came right on time for both appointments and was very respectful and sweet. Every team member was very kind and sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend them for any future service needs you have!"

"I called All City Electric when my laundry room and living room lights would not turn off. If you tried to turn them off they flicker. Then 5 of my outlets either didn't work or things would fall out of them. I finally got sick of it and reached out explaining my situation. The gal that answered my call was very sweet and kind. Even when I called back the next day saying I forgot to write it down and wanted to confirm my appointment day and time. We had a good laugh. She made my day! Today, Kevin showed up on time and confirmed the problem and got to work right away. He was pleasant and kind during the entire process. He answered all my questions. Thank you to the entire staff and owner of All City Electric!! You will forever have my business. Please call if you have any issues. They are absolutely the best to work with!! Thank you again!!"
