Light Fixture & Ceiling Fan Installation in Seattle & Shoreline
Ceiling fixtures, chandeliers, exterior sconces, security and landscape lighting.
Whether it's a heavy chandelier that needs proper box support, a row of exterior sconces, or security lighting on a motion sensor, we install lighting fixtures safely and to code. A lot of store-bought fixtures come with instructions that assume a grounded, correctly rated box — and a lot of older homes don't have one. We make the box, the wiring, and the support right before the fixture goes up.
For exterior and landscape lighting we use weather-rated fixtures, wet-location boxes, and proper GFCI protection. We also handle recessed can conversions, ceiling fans (with rated fan boxes), and smart lighting controls.
You get fixtures that are actually supported, switched where you want them, and safe to leave on while you're away.

Interior/Exterior Lighting Fixture Installation — Your Questions Answered
Can you install a ceiling fan where there's only a light fixture now?
Usually, but a ceiling fan requires a fan-rated box anchored to the framing — a standard light box won't hold the weight or motion. We install the right box and support before the fan goes up.
Do you install fixtures I bought myself?
Yes, as long as the fixture is listed and in good condition. We'll check the box, wiring, and support, fix anything that isn't safe, and install your fixture to code.
Do you install recessed lighting?
Yes. We install IC-rated, airtight recessed housings in insulated ceilings and wet-rated housings over tubs and showers, with LED trims or wafer lights and dimmers where you want them.
Can you install security lighting and motion sensors?
Yes — exterior security fixtures and motion-activated lighting on weather-rated, GFCI-protected circuits, switched and placed for real coverage of your entries and yard.
Do you install chandeliers and heavy fixtures?
Yes. We install fan- and fixture-rated boxes anchored to the framing to support heavy chandeliers, and check the wiring and switch before the fixture goes up.
Can you convert old recessed cans to LED?
Yes. We convert aging recessed cans to modern LED wafer lights or retrofit trims where appropriate, on dimmable, code-compliant circuits.

"I had an incredible experience getting service done from All City Electric. I wanted to have some outlets fixed as well as install a Level 2 Charger. They were easy to schedule a time for an estimate and also for the service. The electrician came right on time for both appointments and was very respectful and sweet. Every team member was very kind and sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend them for any future service needs you have!"

"I called All City Electric when my laundry room and living room lights would not turn off. If you tried to turn them off they flicker. Then 5 of my outlets either didn't work or things would fall out of them. I finally got sick of it and reached out explaining my situation. The gal that answered my call was very sweet and kind. Even when I called back the next day saying I forgot to write it down and wanted to confirm my appointment day and time. We had a good laugh. She made my day! Today, Kevin showed up on time and confirmed the problem and got to work right away. He was pleasant and kind during the entire process. He answered all my questions. Thank you to the entire staff and owner of All City Electric!! You will forever have my business. Please call if you have any issues. They are absolutely the best to work with!! Thank you again!!"
