Outlet & Switch Installation in Seattle & Shoreline
Add receptacles, replace two-prong outlets, install USB outlets, dimmers, and smart switches.
Not enough outlets where you actually need them is one of the most common complaints we hear — and stretching one outlet with power strips and extension cords is exactly how overloaded circuits start. We add receptacles where you need them and run them back to the panel on properly protected circuits.
We also replace old two-prong ungrounded outlets (where wiring allows), install tamper-resistant and GFCI/AFCI receptacles where code requires them, and add USB outlets, dimmers, three-way switches, timers, and smart switches. Every device is properly landed, grounded where required, and labeled at the panel.
It's a small job done right — clean device plates, no scratched trim, and circuits that are actually safe to load.

Outlet and Switch Installation — Your Questions Answered
Can you replace my two-prong outlets with three-prong?
Only where the wiring is actually grounded. If the circuit isn't grounded, we install GFCI-protected receptacles (which are code-compliant and safer than a fake ground) or re-run grounded cable. We never just swap a two-prong for a three-prong on an ungrounded circuit.
Do you install smart switches and dimmers?
Yes — dimmers, timers, motion switches, and smart switches including neutral-required models. We make sure the box has the right wiring and capacity for the device you choose.
How many outlets can I add to a room?
We size additions to the circuit's capacity and code requirements, running new grounded, AFCI-protected circuits where needed so you're not overloading an existing run with power strips.
Do you install GFCI and AFCI outlets?
Yes. We install tamper-resistant GFCI receptacles where code requires them (kitchens, baths, exterior, garages) and AFCI protection for living-area circuits, all landed and labeled at the panel.
Can you add USB outlets?
Yes — we install tamper-resistant receptacles with built-in USB ports, and combination USB/AC outlets, landed on a properly protected circuit.
Do you install ceiling fan switches and three-way switching?
Yes. We install fan speed controls, three-way and four-way switching, and timer or motion switches, with the correct box and wiring for each device.

"I had an incredible experience getting service done from All City Electric. I wanted to have some outlets fixed as well as install a Level 2 Charger. They were easy to schedule a time for an estimate and also for the service. The electrician came right on time for both appointments and was very respectful and sweet. Every team member was very kind and sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend them for any future service needs you have!"

"I called All City Electric when my laundry room and living room lights would not turn off. If you tried to turn them off they flicker. Then 5 of my outlets either didn't work or things would fall out of them. I finally got sick of it and reached out explaining my situation. The gal that answered my call was very sweet and kind. Even when I called back the next day saying I forgot to write it down and wanted to confirm my appointment day and time. We had a good laugh. She made my day! Today, Kevin showed up on time and confirmed the problem and got to work right away. He was pleasant and kind during the entire process. He answered all my questions. Thank you to the entire staff and owner of All City Electric!! You will forever have my business. Please call if you have any issues. They are absolutely the best to work with!! Thank you again!!"
