Our Services

Outdoor & Exterior Outlet Installation in the Seattle Area

Weather-rated exterior receptacles for patios, holidays, decks, and EVs — GFCI protected.

Running extension cords through a window or under a door is how outdoor outlet jobs usually start. We install weather-rated, in-use-cover exterior receptacles on dedicated, GFCI-protected circuits so you can power landscape lighting, holiday lights, a patio heater, or a grill safely in any weather.

We route the wiring cleanly through the siding or trim, use weather-resistant receptacles and in-use (bubble) covers required by current code, and make sure every exterior circuit is GFCI protected and properly grounded. For heavier outdoor loads — a hot tub, an RV, or a shed subpanel — we size the circuit accordingly.

Done right, an exterior outlet is invisible until you need it, and it doesn't become a shock hazard the first time it rains.

Questions

Exterior Outlets — Your Questions Answered

Do outdoor outlets need special covers?

Yes. Current code requires weather-resistant receptacles with in-use (bubble) covers that protect the outlet even when something is plugged in. We install these on every exterior receptacle.

Can you add an outlet for holiday lights or landscape lighting?

Absolutely. A dedicated exterior GFCI receptacle under the eaves or in the landscape is far safer than running cords through a window, and we can put it on a timer or switch for convenience.

Do exterior outlets need to be GFCI protected?

Yes. Every exterior receptacle must be GFCI-protected and properly grounded to current code. We install weather-resistant GFCI receptacles with in-use covers on a dedicated circuit.

Can you install an outlet for a hot tub or RV outside?

Yes. We size the circuit to the load — a dedicated GFCI-protected 240V circuit for a hot tub or a 30/50-amp RV receptacle — with the correct disconnect, weather-rated wiring, and bonding where required.

How do you protect outdoor outlets from rain?

We use weather-resistant receptacles, in-use bubble covers, weather-rated boxes, and proper sealing through the siding or trim so the outlet stays dry and code-compliant in any weather.

Do you pull permits for exterior outlets?

Most exterior receptacle adds require an electrical permit and inspection. We pull the permit through your local jurisdiction and schedule the inspection so the work is signed off.

"I had an incredible experience getting service done from All City Electric. I wanted to have some outlets fixed as well as install a Level 2 Charger. They were easy to schedule a time for an estimate and also for the service. The electrician came right on time for both appointments and was very respectful and sweet. Every team member was very kind and sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend them for any future service needs you have!"

"I called All City Electric when my laundry room and living room lights would not turn off. If you tried to turn them off they flicker. Then 5 of my outlets either didn't work or things would fall out of them. I finally got sick of it and reached out explaining my situation. The gal that answered my call was very sweet and kind. Even when I called back the next day saying I forgot to write it down and wanted to confirm my appointment day and time. We had a good laugh. She made my day! Today, Kevin showed up on time and confirmed the problem and got to work right away. He was pleasant and kind during the entire process. He answered all my questions. Thank you to the entire staff and owner of All City Electric!! You will forever have my business. Please call if you have any issues. They are absolutely the best to work with!! Thank you again!!"
