Hot Tub, Spa & Appliance Circuits in the Seattle Area

Hot tubs, saunas, ranges, dryers, and large appliances on their own properly sized circuits.

Hot tubs, saunas, ranges, dryers, and shop tools each need a dedicated, properly sized circuit — sharing a circuit with a major appliance leads to tripped breakers, damaged equipment, and real fire risk. We install dedicated 240V and 120V circuits sized to each appliance's nameplate load.

For hot tubs and spas we follow the strict NEC Article 680 requirements: GFCI protection, the right disconnect distance, weather-rated wiring, and bonding. Getting a spa circuit wrong is one of the most common causes of shock incidents — we do it to the letter of the code.

We also install circuits for induction ranges, tankless water heaters, mini-splits, and compressors, and we'll tell you when a load means you need a service upgrade rather than just a new circuit.

Questions

Hot Tub or Appliance Circuits and Outlets — Your Questions Answered

What does a hot tub electrical installation require?

A dedicated GFCI-protected circuit, a disconnect within sight of the tub and at the correct distance, weather-rated wiring, and proper bonding of the spa and nearby metal. We follow NEC Article 680 and your local amendments exactly.

Will adding a large appliance mean I need a panel upgrade?

Sometimes. If your panel is full or your service is too small to carry the new load along with everything else, a subpanel or service upgrade is the safe answer. We'll tell you honestly after looking at the panel and the appliance's draw.

Can you install a dedicated circuit for an induction range?

Yes. We run a dedicated 240V, 40- or 50-amp circuit sized to the range's nameplate load, landed at the panel on a properly rated breaker.

Do you install circuits for tankless water heaters and mini-splits?

Yes — dedicated, properly sized circuits for tankless electric water heaters, mini-split heat pumps, and compressors, with the service upgrade or subpanel if the new load requires it.

How do I know if my appliance needs a dedicated circuit?

Large or continuous-load appliances — ranges, dryers, hot tubs, water heaters, shop tools — should each be on their own circuit. We confirm the appliance's nameplate load and size the circuit and breaker to match.

Do you pull permits for appliance and hot tub circuits?

Yes. Dedicated appliance and spa circuits require an electrical permit and inspection. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection so the work is code-compliant and signed off.

What Clients Say

"I had an incredible experience getting service done from All City Electric. I wanted to have some outlets fixed as well as install a Level 2 Charger. They were easy to schedule a time for an estimate and also for the service. The electrician came right on time for both appointments and was very respectful and sweet. Every team member was very kind and sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend them for any future service needs you have!"

"I called All City Electric when my laundry room and living room lights would not turn off. If you tried to turn them off they flicker. Then 5 of my outlets either didn't work or things would fall out of them. I finally got sick of it and reached out explaining my situation. The gal that answered my call was very sweet and kind. Even when I called back the next day saying I forgot to write it down and wanted to confirm my appointment day and time. We had a good laugh. She made my day! Today, Kevin showed up on time and confirmed the problem and got to work right away. He was pleasant and kind during the entire process. He answered all my questions. Thank you to the entire staff and owner of All City Electric!! You will forever have my business. Please call if you have any issues. They are absolutely the best to work with!! Thank you again!!"
